What do you enjoy most about being a PT?

When patients express excitement about returning to an activity that was too difficult

prior to PT.

If you were't a PT what would you do for a job?

I desire to improve myself in many tasks, but, to master another profession is too much to

imagine. After 3½ decades of continued academic & practical development, sensory

refinement and practice, physical therapy is not what I do, it’s who I am.

What's the most recent book you've read for fun?

A Clive Cussler adventure with Sam & Remi Fargo

What is the most valuable life lesson you've ever learned?

Admonition is best placed between words of gratitude.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I’d live in my own botanical garden on Lake Whitehurst in Norfolk, VA – or anywhere my

beloved husband lives.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Course 1: Lobster Bisque / Crusty Bread / Prosecco

Course 2: Spinach Salad with Blueberries, Bacon, Toasted Pecans, Blue Cheese with

Dijon Vinaigrette

Course 3: New Zealand Lamb Chops / Grilled Brussel Sprouts / Mashed Red Potatoes /

Barroso Valley Shiraz (Gnarly Dudes)

Course 4: Assorted Cheese / Sliced Pears

Course 5: White Almond Cake with Melted Dark Chocolate Frosting / Coffee with cream

(all organic – farm to table)

What's your favorite form of exercise?

Walking

If I’m eating my ‘one meal’ daily…. A lot of walking, brisk walking….several times a

day!

Do you collect anything?

Pottery from the many places I’ve traveled.

What's your favorite thing to do on the weekends?

Life tends to magnify my limitations. I enjoy attending church where I am encouraged to

focus upward on the limitless One in Whom I find hope and strength.
